Have you get the next Jack Carroll or Michael McIntyre at home?
Comedy is a great way to build confidence, learn public speaking skills, and – most importantly – it’s fun. Laughskills is a Saturday club for 4 – 12 year olds packed with jokes, games and activities designed to help them find and develop their inner comedian.
It’s simply brilliant! – Pupil, Caterham School
The teachers are working comedians and comic actors, who are experienced at working with and teaching children and are all parents themselves. They include Nathaniel Tapley (a writer on Gigglebiz, and a performer in Dick and Dom’s Funny Business), Darren Strange (The Job Lot, Parents), and Zoe S Battley (Green Green Grass, Blessed).
Natt is not just a brilliant exponent of the art of being funny, he is one of the best teachers I have ever had in any subject. — Nick Wallis, BBC Surrey
The club is booked termly, and there is a show at the end of every term, for parents to attend to watch their children perform, and all children will receive a certificate and a video of their performance.
I asked a number of students later in the day, and they were unanimous in their appreciation and enjoyment of the programme. – Michael Lesser, Head Of Sixth Form, Caterham School
The course runs from on Saturday mornings at 10 and 11 at The Reading Rooms in Buckland, between Dorking and Reigate (map here), and the cost is £49/term for 10 hour-long sessions. If you would rather not commit to a whole term, the cost is £8 per session.
